  • Concepts of print: front and back of book, title, author, illustrator, reading from left to right
  • Sight words: pink, black, white, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, I
  • Social Studies Friendship
  • We starting writing in our Journals. I give the class a topic and they have to draw a picture. (favorite toy)
  • Science: Pumpkins
  • Science: weather
  • Zero the Hero Day Oct. 2nd: Wear Super Hero Shirts

  • Practice zoophonics
  • practice sight words

PTA:

Please join the PTA they do wonderful things for our school. It is the last week of the Bennie PTA contest of whose class has the most members. Our class is in last place.

Lice:

We currently do not have any cases in our rooms. It is the time of year where lice can be spread around. But I like to make sure everyone knows how to prevent it.  To help prevent it make sure you spray products in your child’s hair. (Little Fairy Tales makes spray with Rosemary and Tea Tree Oil). Hair spray, gel, or mousse. Girls keeping long hair in braids or ponytails.

Responsability: 

We are really working on responsibility in class. I am very proud of our class. They are doing a great job of unpacking their backpacks. This week we learning how to put their papers in their green folders. Overall we are doing a great job!

Go Noodle:

The Go Noodle app or website has great movement videos for kids. This is great for kids to get their wiggles out on rainy days.

Mindfulness:

We will be starting to talk more about mindfulness and the power of YET! This week we will focus on “I am smart”.

Snack:

Reminder please send in a daily snack for your child in their backpack in the front pocket.  Reminder NO NUTS Thanks!!

Water Bottle:

Just a reminder to send a water bottle daily with your child’s name on it. I do refill the water bottles up when they are empty.

Bobcat Bucks:

If your child is talking about them at home. These are bucks they earn in class when they are making good choices. They are used to earn rewards in class.
